SCHOOL HOURS
Transitional Kindergarten - 5th Grade = 7:45 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.

Since 1978, Rolling Hills Elementary School has proudly served generations of families, today welcoming approximately 500 students in transitional kindergarten through fifth grade. Rolling Hills also houses the district preschool program, a Special Education preschool program, and three structured support classrooms.

 

The campus is anchored by the Learning Resource Center (LRC) at its center, with classrooms radiating outward. Nine portable buildings accommodate fifth-grade classes and special programs, including Music, Student Support Services, Extended School Services (ESS), and preschool. Outside, the grounds feature a spacious multi-purpose room, an outdoor lunch area, paved play spaces, and over two acres of grass fields.

 

To foster a positive and supportive culture, teachers implement the Character Strong curriculum to promote Social Emotional Learning. As a proud PBIS Silver Medal recipient, Rolling Hills guides its students through three core expectations: be safe, be respectful, and be responsible.

 

Student life offers rich opportunities for personal growth, leadership, and extracurricular involvement. Pumas can participate in Safety Patrol, Hope Squad, RH Leaders, No Place for Hate, band, or simply strive to be outstanding campus role models.

 

An active school foundation enhances the educational experience by funding essential programs like PE, World Music, and a hands-on STEAM Lab. Throughout the school year, the foundation brings the community together with engaging events, including the student talent show, Pumpkin Palooza, and the annual STEAM Fair.

 

Our foundation and dedicated volunteers—especially our resident gardener—also maintain our thriving Literacy Garden, keeping it filled with hardy plants for students to enjoy.
